Last night at Comcast Center:

13 Consecutive ACC road losses for Georgia Tech, which also has lost 16 consecutive games on opponents’ homecourts. The Yellow Jackets are also one of three conference teams winless in league road games this year, a group that includes Florida State and Maryland.

16 First-half points for James Gist, two shy of his career high for a full game. The junior made all six of his field goal attempts before the break and probably would have done more if he hadn’t picked up his second foul with 3:52 remaining. He finished the game with 26.

One of the key moments of Maryland’s first half run started at the defensive end. Georgia Tech’s Ra’Sean Dickey maneuvered inside against Gist, only to have Ekene Ibekwe block his shot from above. Guard D.J. Strawberry secured possession and sent an outlet into the right corner to Greivis Vasquez, who made a 3-pointer for a 24-13 lead.
