The area around the Verizon Center is slowly morphing into a tiny SoHo, replete with uber-hip eateries, entertainment options and gallery spaces. And for the next two weeks, passersby may be able to glimpse the work of a New York City-caliber choreographer who, luckily for us, calls Washington home. Beginning with a pay-what-you-can preview at 8 tonight and continuing through Jan. 21, Flashpoint’s Mead Theatre Lab will present Meisha Bosma’s company, BosmaDance, in “Violet in My Winter,” an original multimedia dance work inspired by the intimate letters and poems of Emily Dickinson. Reservations and further details may be obtained by calling 202/315-1340 or via e-mail at [email protected] Tickets, priced from $15 to $20, are available at the door of the Flashpoint’s Mead Theatre Lab, 916 G St. NW.
