Patrick Stevens of The Washington Times projects the field for the NCAA tournament. This week’s brackets raise the question whether three Colonial Athletic Association teams could earn NCAA berths. It’s probably wishful thinking, but it’s not a stretch at this juncture to say Old Dominion and Drexel are among the 34 best teams in the at-large pool. Virginia Commonwealth, meanwhile, has its status as a regular-season champ to earn it points with the selection committee.
