Foy Vance is one of Northern Ireland’s best-kept secrets — except, of course, to the “Grey’s Anatomy” die-hards who already have encountered his music through the show and its second soundtrack. The guitar-toting vocalist — a sort of Irish Amos Lee who similarly matches gravelly pipes and low-frills acoustic accompaniment with painstakingly rendered lyrical portraits of life — performs tonight at 8:30 at Jammin’ Java (227 Maple Ave. E, Vienna). Vocalist-guitarist Claire Sproule shares the bill, a free show that’s part of the Northern Irish Music Industry Commission’s Rediscover Northern Ireland series (www.nimusic.com). Call 703/255-1566 or visit www.jamminjava.com.
