The word “unplugged” is often associated with MTV’s series of acoustic performances. Tonight, however, the WVSA ARTiculate Gallery (1100 16th St. NW) redefines the term for Washingtonians with a new art show of the same name. “Unplugged” taking place at a unique exhibition space within an arts-centric public charter school features works inspired by music and created by young people. During tonight’s opening reception (5:30 to 8) guests can view the diverse collection, listen to live music and glimpse recorded video dances choreographed by Jane Jerardi. Can’t make it? The gallery is open weekdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and the show continues through June 14. Call 202/261-0204 or visit online at www.wvsarts.org.
