Last night at Verizon Center

SEEN AND HEARD

While much of the pre-game talk concerned the return to the lineup of Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, there is growing concern now about the condition of backup center/forward Michael Ruffin.

Ruffin missed his third game with what the Wizards say are “headaches” and “dizziness,” and it sounds very much like they’ll continue to be without him until, at the earliest, some time next week.

“We are awaiting the results of some tests that we expect next week,” Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said.

Meanwhile, the Redskins, who last season brought what turned out to be an awful group of free agents to a Wizards game, repeated that act again last night.

In attendance at last night’s game was new signee London Fletcher and a potential signee in former Redskin Fred Smoot.

BY THE NUMBERS

22Points for Antawn Jamison in his return from a knee injury.
