Spain’s Iberia Airlines begins five-days-a-week Washington-Madrid service on June 2. Iberia, a member of the One World airline alliance with American Airlines, British Airways and others, is putting round-trip tickets from Washington Dulles International Airport on sale for $699 to Madrid but also to other cities, including Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Santiago de Campostela, Seville and Valencia. El Al Airlines is offering an all-inclusive seven-night package to Israel starting at $1,699 per person. The package includes nonstop round-trip tickets from either John F. Kennedy or Newark international airports to Israel, seven nights’ hotel accommodations, three meals daily and daily tours of sites including Mary’s Well in Nazareth and the Church of the Nativity. The $1,699 price is good for travel from now through June 13, Aug. 22 through Sept. 12 and Oct. 3 through 24. Other rates are $1,899 for travel June 20 through Aug. 15 and $1,599 for Oct. 31 through Dec. 12 and Dec. 26 through Feb. 20. Package price is based on double occupancy. Call 800/352-5786 to book.

United Airlines has reduced fares on more than 20,000 routes. Round-trip fares not including taxes start at $78 from Washington-area airports to Boston and New York City; sample fares include $118 to Miami, $258 to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and $330 to London. Sale fares are valid on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday for domestic travel; international travel dates vary by destination. Purchase by April 9. Travel is valid through June 7. Shangri-La Hotels is celebrating the opening of its 50th hotel, the Shangri-La Hotel Guangzhou, with a three-day, two-night grand-opening package at the site in southern China. The price includes accommodations in a deluxe river-view room, complimentary breakfast for two and afternoon tea for two. Package price of $373 may vary with the currency exchange rate.
