Mitchell & Best Homebuilders LLC is building 20 single-family houses on 3.28- to 9.23-acre homesites at Fox Knoll of Middleburg, where buyers can combine lots to meet equestrian needs.

Each home in this Loudoun County community includes a stone base, a brick or flagstone stoop, Hardiplank siding and a two- or three-car side-entry garage.

Inside, all seven models feature four or five bedrooms; three or four full baths and one or two half baths; oak stairs; hardwood flooring on the main level; ceramic tile flooring in the baths; 9- and 10-foot ceilings; crown and chair-rail moldings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; a master bath with a tub and separate shower; a rough-in for a lower-level bath; high-tech wiring including surround sound in the family room; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have 3,970 to 6,055 finished square feet, with base prices from $674,000 to $864,000, plus an additional $395,000 to $450,000 for the lot.

The Westport III model, with 5,445 square feet, is priced from $818,000, plus the lot price. This home features a two-story foyer with a curving staircase, a study, and a formal living room and dining room separated by half walls and columns.

At the back of the home are a center-island kitchen, a separate breakfast room and a family room with a fireplace, a coffered ceiling and two walls of windows. Nearby are a rear staircase, two powder rooms and a family entrance from the garage and back porch.

Upstairs, the master suite has a separate sitting room, a stepped ceiling, two walk-in closets and a bath.
