How did you get started in real estate? Before I started in real estate, I was a lobbyist for the National Association of Realtors, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie Mac) and Security Pacific National Bank.

How long with the current company? Four months

Licenses: Real estate sales in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia

Awards: Top producer, presidents circle and top producer in my office

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Joining Tutt, Taylor & Rankin Sotheby’s International Realty

What is your area of specialty? Spring Valley in Northwest Washington

Highest-priced home sold: $4,000,000

Most memorable house: A home on Beachway Drive in Falls Church on Lake Barcroft. Twenty minutes from downtown Washington, this home overlooks a 110-acre lake with amazing wildlife, including eagles, egrets and swans, and it has gorgeous water views.

Worst experience: I had a $2,000,000 transaction on a lakefront property in Virginia, and the day of the settlement, the seller pulled out because there was a sewer easement running through the property. So I ended up contacting a lawyer on my own because the company I then worked for would not provide legal services or guidance and basically get involved. They informed me it was my client’s problem. Fortunately, we went to settlement, and the buyer and I became friends who now love their lakeside paradise.

Age: 58

Family: Husband, Grant; son, Carter

What kind of car do you drive? Mercedes S 320

What is your personal dream house? Gore Vidal’s house in Italy overlooking Lake Como, which sits high above the hillside with soaring, spectacular views or this majestic tranquillity. It’s a true Italian villa.
