Diplomats, VIPs take a bow at Performing Arts Society

Lena Scott (above left), co-chairwoman of the Washington Performing Arts Society’s spring gala Saturday night, greeted the event’s honorary diplomatic patrons, Indonesian Ambassador Sudjadnan Parnohadiningrat (right) and his wife, Nunung (second from left) at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Indonesian Trade Minister Mari Pengestu (second from right) also was present. Among other VIP guests at the event were Michelle Cross Fenty (below left), wife of D.C. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, and Chinese Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong. The evening featured a performance by the Canadian Brass quintet.
