As the Washington suburbs become more and more developed, home buyers with a yearning for

an estate of their own may find one more difficult to find. At Park Meadows in Leesburg, Basheer & Edgemoore Homes LLC is building 17 homes, each on a lot of 3 to 9 acres. With this much land on which to build, each home will have the advantage of a pastoral view of trees and hills.

Park Meadows may have a peaceful rural setting, but it is just a few minutes by car from shops, restaurants and schools. Residents can easily reach Virginia Route 7, the Dulles Greenway and Dulles Town Center. Historic downtown Leesburg is nearby, along with Ida Lee Park.

The luxurious homes at Park Meadows include four bedrooms, three or four full baths and a powder room. Base prices for these homes range from $945,900 to $1,139,900, and buyers may add elevators, catering kitchens, rear sunrooms, screened porches, verandas, conservatories, finished lower levels and first-floor guest suites to personalize their homes.

Buyers can choose between a Federal, Georgian, English or Southern-style facade. Standard features include a two- or three-car garage and a sodded yard. Inside, each home has 9- and 10-foot ceilings on the first and second levels, a two-story foyer, columns, art niches, crown moldings, ceramic tile flooring in the baths, a gas fireplace and a master bath. The kitchen includes granite counters, 42-inch cabinets, a gas downdraft cooktop and built-in double ovens. The master suite has a volume or tray ceiling and his-and-hers walk-in closets. Each home also has dual zone gas heat and electric central air conditioning, with a gas water heater.

The Beaumont model, priced from $1,128,900, has a two-story foyer flanked by the formal living room and the formal dining room. each of these rooms includes columns and openings to the foyer and to the two-story central hall.

Adjacent to the living room are a closet and a powder room. Double doors lead from the hall into the corner library, which can be accessorized with a bay window, a fireplace and built-in bookcases.

At the back of the home, the family room has a wall of windows and a two-sided fireplace shared with the keeping room. The generously sized kitchen area includes the keeping room and a breakfast room, both with walls of windows. A second staircase leading to the upper and lower levels is adjacent to the kitchen.

The main level also has a walk-in pantry near the garage and counter space and cabinets that extend from the kitchen into the hall. Buyers can add a catering kitchen here. A second powder room or an elevator can be added adjacent to the rear staircase.

Upstairs, the master bedroom suite includes a volume ceiling and a wall of windows. The adjacent sitting room has a wall of windows. Buyers can add a fireplace to either the bedroom or the sitting room and add a morning bar to the sitting room. A vestibule leads into two walk-in closets and to the master bath, which has a corner tub, a large shower, two separate vanities and two separate commodes.

Buyers can add an extended master sitting area with three walls of windows if they add a rear sunroom on the main level. Another option is to place a private veranda for the master suite above the sunroom.

The upper level has three more additional bedrooms, each with a private full bath. The upper level has a laundry room.

The lower level can be completed with a playroom, an exercise room, a media room, a clubroom, a game room, a home office, a wet bar and a full bath.
