Rolling Thunder plans Memorial weekend

Rolling Thunder XX will rev up Sunday in the District for a motorcycle ride to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The annual event seeks a full accounting of all prisoners of war and those still missing in action from conflicts beginning with World War I.

The demonstration also seeks support for military veterans’ rights.Bikers begin gathering at 8 a.m. and leave at noon on Sunday from the North Pentagon Parking Lot across the Potomac River from Washington.

Chrysler show slated June 2 in Clarksville

The annual Spring Chrysler Product Owners Club Car Show will be held June 2 in Clarksville, Md.

The event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., focuses on vehicles at least 25 years old, but all Chrysler cars and trucks are welcome, according to the sponsor.In addition to trophies, there will be a door prize as well as food and refreshments for sale. Orphan Car Tour set for June 2

The 18th annual Orphan Car Tour is being held on June 2 in and around Williamsport, Md., near Hagerstown.

As in previous years, an afternoon of driving on scenic byways will be followed by a late-afternoon dinner.

Car day planned for British buffs

The 30th annual Original British Car Day, this year featuring T-Series and pre-war MGs, will be held June 3 at the Lilypons Water Gardens in Adamstown, Md.

The show will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Spectator admission will be $5 per car. Show car registration at the gate will cost $25.The Chesapeake Chapter of the New England MG T Register, founder of the Original British Car Day, is playing host to the event.

This year marks their 30th anniversary, and special events are planned for British car and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Corvette show invites other makes, models

The Metro-Vettes Corvette Club Car Show is scheduled for June 3 at Lamont’s Entertainment Complex in Pomonkey, Md.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. for a fee of $20. Participation is open to all makes and models, including bikes and trikes, according to the sponsor. Food and refreshments will be available.

Pontiac-Oakland show scheduled for June 3

The 25th annual All Pontiac-Oakland and GMC Show will be held June 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Burdette Bros. Pontiac in Hyattstown, Md.

There will be judging in 26 classes, with three trophies to be awarded in each class.
