Virginia attackman Ben Rubeor and Navy midfielder Billy Looney were selected as first team All-Americans yesterday by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.

Duke stars Matt Danowski, Zack Greer, Nick O’Hara and Casey Carroll and Johns Hopkins midfielder Paul Rabil, who will all play in tomorrow’s national title game, were also first-team picks.

Elsewhere among area teams, Maryland defensemen Ray Megill and Steve Whittenberg, Georgetown defenseman Jerry Lambe, Virginia midfielder Drew Thompson and Georgetown attackman Brendan Cannon were second-team picks.

Third-team selections included Virginia attackman Dan Glading, Maryland midfielder Dan Groot and Virginia defenseman Ricky Smith.
