Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn (standing) welcomed arts patron Judith Terra to an Indian-themed backstage buffet before the opening of “Love’s Labor’s Lost” at Carter Barron Ampitheatre on May 25. Cast members checking out the set before curtain time included (from the left below) Rock Kohli, Michael Milligan and Cindy and Mauricio Salgado, plus David Townsend (far right) from the theater’s upcoming production of “Hamlet.” Free outdoor performances of “Love’s Labor’s Lost,” Shakespeare’s clever battle of the sexes, continue at Carter Barron through Sunday. “Hamlet” opens Tuesday and runs through July 29 at the main stage on Seventh Street Northwest. Mr. Kahn directed both.
