Americans with disabilities — 1 p.m. — The National Council on Disability holds a press conference and discussion of its latest report, “Empowerment for Americans With Disabilities: Breaking Barriers to Careers and Full Employment.” Location: Longworth House Office Building, Room 1309. Documentary films — 3 p.m. — The Independent Television Service holds a press conference to start the Global Perspectives Project, which would bring international documentary films to American audiences. Participants include Alina Romanowski, deputy assistant secretary of state for professional and cultural exchanges, and James Collins, chairman of the ITVS International Advisory Board.
