While some new-home buyers opt for new construction so they can have the pleasure of personally picking every option, other buyers are content to move into a new home that is ready for immediate occupancy.

Rather than being overwhelmed by the decision-making process or having to wait while a home is completed, these buyers can walk into a residence that already includes many optional features.

At Poplar Parc in Chantilly, Va., WCI Communities Inc. has two upscale immediate-delivery homes available. WCI will eventually build 49 homes in this community, each on a quarter-acre homesite.

Poplar Parc features a community park with benches, a gazebo and a tot lot, with walking trails winding through the development. Nearby is the Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, which offers hiking, fishing, picnicking spots, athletic fields and an amphitheater.

Poplar Parc is just off U.S. 50, near Interstate 66, Va. 28 and the Fairfax County Parkway. Residents are close to mall shopping at Fair Oaks, Fair Lakes and Tysons Corner.

Community amenities and location are not the only draw at Poplar Parc. The elegant homes offer a graceful lifestyle, with plenty of living space and sophisticated finishing touches. Both the Grand Cezanne and the Grand Rembrandt models have more than 7,000 square feet of living space.

The homes at Poplar Parc have four sides of brick and stone along with Hardiplank siding, a two- or three-car garage, a brick or flagstone stoop and a professionally landscaped lot.

Inside, the homes have an oak main staircase with hardwood flooring in the foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast area and hobby room/study. Other standard features include a gas fireplace with a marble hearth and surround, crown and chair-rail moldings, 9- and 10-foot ceilings, French doors and tray, vaulted and coffered ceilings.

The kitchens include 42-inch raised-panel cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The baths have ceramic tile flooring, and the master bath has granite counters, a tub, a separate shower and two separate vanities.

The Grand Rembrandt model, base-priced at $1,349,914, has 7,378 square feet of living space and a three-car side-entry garage. This model has a two-story foyer flanked by the formal living room and formal dining room.

The dining room has a coffered ceiling and columns with an adjacent butler’s pantry. A two-story reception area in the center of the home has a curving staircase with the library tucked privately behind the staircase. Nearby is a two-story family room with a gas fireplace and a wall of windows.

A second staircase next to the family room leads to the upper and lower levels.

The large kitchen has a breakfast room with a wall of windows and a breakfast bar and pass-through to the family room. Just beyond the kitchen is an entrance to the garage, a closet, a pantry and a laundry room.

Upstairs, the master suite covers nearly half of the upper level. A double door leads into the master suite foyer, which has columns flanking the step-down to the bedroom, which has a volume ceiling and a wall of windows. The suite has a separate sitting room and a bath with a volume ceiling and two walk-in closets. The second bedroom has a private full bath, while the third and fourth bedrooms share a connecting bath with a double-sink vanity.

The Grand Cezanne model, base-priced at $1,321,070, has 7,223 square feet and two garages, one for one car and a second that holds two cars. The foyer is flanked by the formal living room and formal dining room, each of which has columns.

A central two-story rotunda features a curving staircase.

The kitchen opens into a breakfast room with a wall of windows and has a step-down to a family room with a fireplace and multiple windows on two sides. Just past the family room are a study/technology center and a mudroom.

Upstairs, the master bedroom suite has a coffered ceiling in the bedroom, which has double doors leading into the sitting room. The sitting room has a wall of windows. Adjacent to the bedroom are a dressing area with shelves, two walk-in closets and a bath with a coffered ceiling.

Each of the three additional bedrooms on this level has a walk-in closet and a private full bath.
