SEEN AND HEARD AT DOLPHIN STADIUM

MIAMI — Ross Detwiler walked out to the left-field bullpen last night with his glove, hat and a pink Strawberry Shortcake backpack.

No, he didn’t carry that last item by choice. In a traditional act of rookie hazing, Detwiler and some of his young pitching teammates are being forced to lug around embarrassing children’s items.

This year’s first-round draft pick is taking it all in stride. He is, however, a little worried about having to do the same thing in New York and Philadelphia later this month.

Don’t worry, Ross, Philly fans are generally pretty low-key.
