Car-truck show set at Ford dealership

The National Capital Region Mustang Club is planning a car-truck show tomorrow at Cowles Ford in Woodbridge, Va.

The Ford event will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration closing at 11. Awards will be presented in 20 show classes.

The dealership is located at 13779 Noblewood Plaza near Minnieville Road and Prince William Parkway.

Rohr Memorial meet set for Sept. 22

The 32nd annual Edgar Rohr Memorial Antique Car Meet will be held Sept. 22 at the Manassas Museum.

The event, at 9101 Prince William St., will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spectator admission is free.

Registration for vehicles from 1926 through 1982 will be $15 at the gate.

Judging will be in 19 categories including classic cars, trucks and motorcycles as well as street rods, modifieds, military and foreign vehicles.

In addition to trophies, there will be a car corral, flea market and door prizes.

Showdown planned in Damascus

The 8th annual Showdown in Damascus car, truck and bike show to benefit Hospice Caring of Frederick County, Md., is scheduled for Sept. 22 at a dealership.

The event, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be hosted by Damascus Chevy on Route 124 at Damascus Road. Registration, costing $10, is open to all makes.

Pontiac show offers $500 cash prize

An all-Pontiac car show is planned for Sept. 30 at a dealership in Westminster, Md. The owner of the vehicle selected as “dealer’s choice” will receive a $500 cash prize.

The show will have judging in a total of 16 classes, with three plaques awarded per class. Registration will cost $15 the day of the show, but spectators will be admitted free.

The Royal GTOs club and Bohn Pontiac are sponsoring the event, which will be held at the dealership, 1071 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster.

Alexandria cruise-in runs until November

A cruise-in is being held every Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. through October in the parking lot of the Giant Food store at Richmond Highway and Memorial Street in Alexandria.

Weekend cruise-ins at Silver Diners

Antique and classic car cruise-ins are being held Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Silver Diner in Reston and Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Silver Diner in Springfield.

Vehicles from 1900 to 1977 are invited to participate at both locations through October.
