No, it’s not Bjork, but the act on tonight’s bill at the State Theatre (220 N. Washington St., Falls Church) is inspired by the esoteric Icelandic songstress — and takes music to a similarly far-out place. We’re speaking, of course, of Travis Sullivan’s Bjorkestra (with vocalist Becca Stevens), an 18-piece genre-twisting group that melds the work of Bjork Gudmundsdottir and modern jazz improvisation. $20. Show time is at 8 p.m. 703/237-0300. www.thestatetheatre.com.
