The Washington Times reported an incorrect statement regarding patients who sue in Tuesday’s Life article about the shortage of surgeons.

Patients of emergency departments who are more likely to sue do not know their doctor and have a sudden emergency with a poor outcome, says Dr. Brian Keaton, president of the American College of Emergency Physicians in Irving, Texas.
