The Nationals spend their Saturday afternoons the same as most Americans: watching college football on the couch.

Before heading out to batting practice and between BP and the first pitch, the Nationals lounge on the clubhouse couch and take in as many as four games on four HD TVs.

Shortly before game time, Brian Schneider worried as his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions struggled with Michigan, and Maryland alum Justin Maxwell checked the Terps’ progress against Wake Forest.

Meanwhile, Nook Logan, who lists Florida and LSU as his favorite teams, argued with Robert Fick about whether the SEC or Pac-10 is the tougher conference.

The number of cup holders projected for the new Nationals Park — 41,222 more than are currently available to fans at RFK, which seats 46,000 but has not one cup holder.
