NEW YORK Washington’s 10 rookies were still a little embarrassed yesterday after being forced to make the trip Sunday night to the Big Apple wearing outrageous costumes. The annual prank organized by Nationals veterans left Matt Chico, Joel Hanrahan, Ross Detwiler, Justin Maxwell and Co. wearing costumes that ranged from skimpy women’s clothing to baby diapers to a couple of get-ups that can’t be described in a family newspaper. Players had to wear the outfits on the train, then had to walk the final 12 blocks in midtown Manhattan to the team hotel.
