THE HAGUE — BMW AG‘s board member, Dr. Klaus Draeger, responsible for Research & Development and Purchasing offered a broad smile when accepting the J.D. Power Gold Award for first place in the ‘Automotive Performance, execution and Layout Study’ (APEAL) about the satisfaction of North American customers. The 3-Series and the BMW X5 also scored the highest in customer satisfaction in their segments. In total, BMW took six J.D. Power Gold Awards, two more for the highest ranking in Germany and France in the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) with the 5 Series.
It also won the Award for the Initial Quality Study (IQS) for the BMW plant in Regensburg, Germany, with respect to the quality of delivery of new automobiles to the North American market.
