Has Tiger ever yanked putts from inside three (no. 4) and five feet (no. 13) in a major? The green jacket was there for the taking if Woods had simply made the putts he never misses under pressure.

No joy for the Rover in the Augusta National lottery. Given that only 40 Monday tee times were available for more than 500 members of the print media, the Rover only had an 8 percent chance of hitting the jackpot.

The Rover commends CBS analyst Peter Kostis for his professionalism yesterday. Though his primary pupil, Paul Casey, was enduring a horrific finale in the most important round of his major career with a 79, Kostis never let what must have been an excruciating emotional experience crack his solid commentary.
