NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Detroit Red Wings is very talented. In Game 6 against Nashville, it was also lucky.

That was an unbeatable combination.

Nicklas Lidstrom bounced in a short-handed goal over goaltender Dan Ellis in the second period as the Red Wings closed out their quarterfinal series with victory over Nashville yesterday.

“I’m just trying to float one in there,” Lidstrom said. “I took some off the shot just to see if I could land in front of him, just go for a bounce or just create something in front of him.”

Stars 4, Ducks 1

DALLAS —Stephane Robidas scored the tying goal on the power play early in the third period, then set up Stu Barnes for the go-ahead goal 52 seconds later, sending Dallas past Anaheim to end their first-round series in six games.

Flames 2, Sharks 0

CALGARY, Alberta — Miika Kirpusoff made 21 saves, Owen Nolan and Daymond Langkow scored, and Calgary beat San Jose to force a Game 7.
