AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Andre Miller scored 20 points and Willie Green had a career playoff-high 17 yesterday as Philadelphia stunned Detroit yesterday in Game 1 of their first-round series.

The Eastern Conference’s second-seeded playoff team was expected to beat the seventh-seeded 76ers by double digits and did lead by 15 midway through the third quarter.

Rasheed Wallace had 24 points, nine rebounds and matched a franchise playoff record with seven blocks for the Pistons.

Lakers 128, Nuggets 114

LOS ANGELES — Pau Gasol established playoff highs with 36 points and eight assists as Los Angeles beat Denver in Game 1 of their first-round series.

Kobe Bryant scored 18 of his 32 points in the final eight minutes to keep Los Angeles safely ahead.

Magic 114, Raptors 100

ORLANDO, Fla. — Dwight Howard had 25 points and 22 rebounds and Jameer Nelson scored 24 points as Orlando beat Toronto in Game 1 of their first-round series.

Celtics 104, Hawks 81

BOSTON — Ray Allen scored 18 points and Kevin Garnett had 16 as the two newcomers who led the Boston to the NBA’s best record sparked them past Atlanta to take a 1-0 lead in their first-round series.
