Bruce Boudreau

The Washington Capitals already have rewarded their miracle-working coach with a new contract — presumably with more money and higher expectations.

Alex Ovechkin

After a slow start to the Caps’ playoff series, A.O. dragged the team off the ropes and had a run to remember with four goals and nine points.

Vinny Cerrato

It’s all on The Danny’s right-hand man as the Redskins prepare for their most significant draft since 2000, when they landed LaVar Arrington and Chris Samuels.

Taj McWilliams-Franklin

By dealing DeLisha Milton-Jones, the Mystics got an older but still effective post player in the six-time All-Star — who’ll move right into the starting lineup.

DeShawn Stevenson

Phrases we should never hear from the Wizards’ iron man: “I can’t feel my face” and “You can say I said that.” Actually, we just shouldn’t hear from him, period.

TWT FIVE Problems with the NFL Draft

1. The Rams are on the clock, and they can’t do anything about it until Saturday.

2. In an effort to lure more viewers, the NFL moved back Saturday’s start time.

3. Mixed messages from ESPN. Whom do you believe: Todd McShay or Mel Kiper Jr.

4. The Vikings traded their first-round pick, meaning they’re not in danger of missing it.

5. Mock drafts rendered useless by all of the maneuvering.
