• Bob Long joined Bowman Consulting as a business development executive for the company’s Chantilly office. Before joining Bowman, Mr. Long worked at Fraser Forbes Co. LLC, a real estate advisory service firm in McLean as director of commercial land sales.


• Goodman & Co., a McLean public accounting and business advisory firm, hired Sarah Graham as a supervisor at its Rockville office. Ms. Graham ran her own consulting practice in the District.

• The Washington Group, a Bethesda financial service agency affiliated with MassMutual, hired William H. Anderson as a financial planner. Mr. Anderson was controller of the Atlantic Coast region at Xerox Corp.’s McLean office.


Richard A. Schaberg joined Hogan & Hartson LLP’s District office, where he will be a partner in the firm’s financial services practice group. Mr. Schaberg joins Hogan & Hartson from Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, where he was managing partner of the firm’s District office.


Kenneth D. Noreen was named chief of strategy implementation for Asbury Communities Inc., a Gaithersburg developer of retirement communities. Mr. Noreen will also become president of Asbury’s Germantown subsidiary, the Asbury Group, the project development arm of the parent company. Mr. Noreen joins Asbury from Retirement Living Services in Hartford, Conn., where he served as executive vice president of management divisions.


Tovah LaDier joined Bryan Cave Strategies, a D.C. lobbying firm, as senior vice president and legislative counsel. Ms. LaDier was vice president for Williams Mullen Strategies, an international strategic consulting firm also based in the District.


• Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles named Melissa Slocum director of finance and accounting for the Chantilly resort and conference center. Ms. Slocum has worked with Marriott since 2002, most recently as director of finance for the Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church.
