SEATTLE MARINERS - Claimed RHP Anderson Garcia off waivers from Philadelphia.

NEW YORK RANGERS - Signed D Dan Girardi to a two-year contract extension and D Fedor Tyutin to an undisclosed contract extension. Assigned F Marcel Hossa to Hartford (AHL).

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS - Recalled F Denis Tolpeko from Philadelphia (AHL).

American Hockey League

AHL - Suspended Houston D John Scott for three games for his actions in a Feb. 12 game, and San Antonio LW Peter Vandermeer three games and Hamilton LW Greg Stewart one game for their actions in Feb. 16 games.

HAMILTON BULLDOGS - Signed Conrad Martin to a two-year contract. Recalled D Jon Gleed from Cincinnati (ECHL). Assigned F Mathieu Aubin to Cincinnati.



ECHL - Suspended Idaho LW Lance Galbraith indefinitely for his actions in a Feb. 15 game against Phoenix.
