SEEN AND HEARD IN VIERA, FLA.

NATIONALS 15, GEORGETOWN 0

Not that there was any debate about this before, but it should be clear now that the Nationals have the best ballclub in the District.

Try as they might to hang with their big league opponents, the Hoyas were overmatched in the first meeting between the two teams.

Washington scored in each of the first six innings, including five times in the first thanks to hits by Ryan Zimmerman, Dmitri Young, Jesus Flores and Matt Whitney. Five Nationals pitchers (Jason Bergmann, Josh Smoker, Collin Balester, Mike Hinckley and Bobby Brownlie) combined to toss a shutout.
