Mary A. Irace was named managing director of global affairs for the American Chemistry Council, an Arlington policy and research organization. She currently serves as an adviser to the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Intellectual Property, which reports to the White House.

• The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship named Bheesham Sethi senior director of development for the D.C.-based organization. Mostly recently, he was vice president of development at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in California.


Scott Blackburn was named senior audit manager at Goodman & Company LLP, a Rockville public accounting and business advisory firm. Mr. Blackburn previously worked as controller for Alliance Technology Group, an information technology company in Hanover, Md.

• Vienna, Va., accounting firm Cherry, Bekaert & Holland LLP named Mike Sorrells director of nonprofit tax services. Mr. Sorrells previously worked as national director of nonprofit tax services for BDO Seidman, a New York accounting firm.


• Baltimore biotechnology company Lentigen named Tim Ravenscroft chief executive officer. He was president of Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging, a former subsidiary of New York drug maker Bristol-Myers Squibb.


• SunEdison, a Beltsville provider of solar energy services, named Jubran Whalan senior vice president of business development. He previously was vice president of commodity trading for TransAlta, a Canadian energy company. SunEdison also named Bob Grier senior vice president of engineering, procurement and construction. He previously worked as vice president of construction and manufacturing for Centex Homes, a Dallas home builder.

Ken Everist was named director of operations at Apptis Technology Solutions Inc., a Chantilly technology company. Mr. Everist previously worked as a business consultant for DP Consulting in Chicago.

• D.C. defense technology company Alenia North American named retired Adm. Edmund Giambastiani chairman of its board of directors. Adm. Giambastiani previously served as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the second-highest ranking military officer in the U.S.

Bart Astor was named senior adviser of education services at Vangent Inc., an Arlington information technology company. Mr. Astor previously served as director of the D.C. office of the National Association of the State Student Grant and Aid Programs.

Richard Meccarielliwas named president and chief executive of Microlog Corp., a Germantown customer service technology company. He previously worked as an executive with General Electric Co.


• CPA Ltd., a provider of legal outsourcing services, named Kevin Reilleysenior vice president and general manager of the Alexandria office of CPA Legal Services North America. He was North American president at Integrity Interactive in Massachusetts.


David Perkins was named executive vice president of sales for Champion Exposition Services, a D.C. exposition and corporate event services company. Mr. Perkins previously worked at Dupree Security in Georgia.

Philippe Lerner was named senior analyst at Carchex, a Hunt Valley, Md., online company for buying and inspecting cars. He previously worked for a real estate transaction consulting company.
