Music By Kristi Harris, age 13

“Let’s see how far we’ve come”

The rhythm beats through my soul,

“When you figure out love is all that matters after all”

My heart listens openly,

“Now I’m heels over head, I’m hanging upside down”

The lyrics bellow from the speakers,

“It makes me stronger”

The beat jumps out at me,

“I’m fergalicious”

My body begins to dance,

“All, all the memories we’ve had”

My brain flashes by pictures of the past,

“Throw it away; forget yesterday, we’ll make the great escape”

I sing out for all to hear,

“Everything, everything will be just fine”

The sounds flow like a stream into my thoughts

“Party like a rock star”

Music keeps life going.
