By Rebecca Pauwels, age 13

If you are reading this letter, then congratulations,

You have just won a million dollars.

You will find love,

World peace will exist.

There will be no reason to frown ever again

Because there will be no cloudy days.

The rest of your long, prosperous life

Will be filled with joy.

If you are reading the back side of this letter, then too bad for you.

You now know that happiness only lasts so long.

You know that it was a hoax

And you might die alone

And you might get sick.

Clouds and rain are in this week’s forecast.

There are many more poor people than rich in this world

And nothing is ever perfect.
