Augustine Martinez was named interim president and chief executive officer of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a D.C. organization that promotes economic growth and development of Hispanic entrepreneurs. She serves as general manager for the television show “Hispanics Today.”

Lynn Bostain was named manager of business development for Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, which helps attract businesses to Alexandria. She managed the Virginia Tourism Corp. office in the District.

Emily Stover DeRocco, former assistant secretary of labor, was named senior vice president of the National Association of Manufacturers, a D.C. trade group. She also will serve as president of the Manufacturing Institute’s National Center for the American Workforce, an industry think tank.

• The National Foreign Trade Council, a D.C. advocacy group for an open global trading system, named John Mullen as chairman. Mr. Mullen is chief executive officer of Deutsche Post World Net, a German parcel delivery company.

• The National Retail Federation, a D.C. trade group, named Myron E. Ullman chairman of the board and chairman of its executive committee. Mr. Ullman is chairman and chief executive officer of J.C. Penney. PetSmart CEO Phillip L. Francis was named first vice chairman of the board, while Saks CEO Stephen I. Sadove was named second vice chairman.


Dr. Karen Orloff Kaplan was named executive director of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, a D.C. nonprofit organization focused on improving health care practice and effective screening for ovarian cancer. Dr. Kaplan directed the Access to Health Care project for the Cancer Action Network, a D.C. sister organization of the American Cancer Society.


Aimee Daniels was named executive vice president and regional president for the Mid-Atlantic region for HSBC Bank USA of New York. She worked as senior vice president and regional commercial executive in HSBC’s Chicago office.


Jennifer Andrews was named associate in the D.C. office of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott LLC, a Pittsburgh law firm.

Robert H. Myers was named co-chairman of the insurance and reinsurance group in the D.C. office of Morris, Manning & Martin LLP, an Atlanta law firm.

Paul DeCamp was named partner at Jackson Lewis, a D.C. law firm. Mr. DeCamp worked as administrator of the Department of Labor’s wage and hour division.
