Sound and fury

You don’t have to know that Mose Allison is known as the “William Faulkner of Jazz” or that some consider him the missing link between blues and jazz. You sense it when the 80-year-old musician is wailing a sultry tune at the piano. His trio plays shows at 8 and 10 tonight through Sunday at Blues Alley (1073 Wisconsin Ave. NW).
