TWT FIVE ” Seattle vs. The District debates

1. Best tall monument: Seattle has the Space Needle, but we give the edge to the Washington Monument.

2. Best weather: The summers here are brutal, but it’s better than constant rainfall.

3. Best music: Seattle has Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Nirvana. The District has … Fugazi?

4. Best food: Seattle has nice variety, but it doesn’t have the half-smoke from Ben’s.

5. Best corporate headquarters: With AOL packing up to go, Microsoft wins this one. Too bad Apple can’t move to the district.

Redskins at Seahawks

Win, and it’s a showdown in Dallas for a shot at the NFC title. Hard to fathom a month ago.

Giants at Buccaneers

Tune in to see if the G-Men show any ill-effects from last week’s all-out effort against the Patriots.

Jaguars at Steelers

Not only does Jacksonville have a better record, but the Jaguars won at Pittsburgh three weeks ago. Look for 300 yards rushing combined in this one.

No. 24 Saint Mary’s vs. No. 14 Texas

Led by three talented Aussies, the Gaels could be the West Coast Conference’s Cinderella darling. A win over the Longhorns would make them a legit at-large candidate.

James Madison at Hofstra

The Dukes look like they’re for real. A win over the struggling Pride would solidify their place atop the CAA.
