SEEN AND HEARD AT AT&T; PARK

Lost amid the flurry of news the Nationals announced Tuesday afternoon was Wily Mo Pena’s season-ending surgery on his left shoulder. Orthopedist Tim Kremchek repaired what the team called a “significant partial tear of his rotator cuff, as well as a tear and fraying of his posterior labrum.” Pena will be in a sling for three weeks. His full recovery time is three to four months, but the club said he will be ready for the start of spring training.
