Aaron Boone has tried all season to get teammates to join in for “Throwback Fridays,” having them wear classic jerseys from former sports stars. Turnout had been minimal, but Friday night six guys participated and hung their throwbacks in a row.

There was quite an eclectic mix, spanning several different sports: an Earl Campbell Oilers jersey (Paul Lo Duca), a Johnny Bench Reds jersey (Johnny Estrada), Dan Marino’s college jersey from Pitt (Ryan Zimmerman), the Pistons’ Bill Laimbeer (Austin Kearns) and a vintage Chris Mullin Warriors tank top (Nick Johnson). The best, though, came from Boone, who managed to get his hands on a Steve Nash jersey … from Santa Clara.
