I was lucky enough to attend a screening of “Kung Fu Panda,” featuring China’s greatest martial artist?

I thought it was really neat that Po’s master is named “Shifu,” which actually means “master” in Chinese. Shifu (played by Tai Lung, a snow leopard and kung fu expert.

Other characters include Tigress (Seth Rogen). These kung fu masters are students of Shifu and should have been “the chosen one” until Po came along. They don’t like him because he is clumsy and kind of useless, but they eventually work things out.

My favorite character has to be Po. He is funny and crazy and Jack Black does a great job with his voice. He’s definitely something you’ll laugh about. I also liked the character, Mr. Ping, a messenger goose, who is totally funny too. He is scared most of the time, but still tries to do his job. He is played by James Hong.

The story says a lot of being yourself and loving yourself, no matter what you’re like. Everyone laughed at Po and thought he would never make it, but he had a lot of determination! And he made the best noodles ever. It was kind of funny, too, that his dad was a duck and not a panda.

I had too many favorite scenes. I think one of them is when Po trains with the group for the very first time and makes a complete mess of the situation.

I think this movie is funny and action-packed, something that all families would enjoy. It may be scary or a bit violent for younger children.

All in all, I had a great time and I hope everyone takes the time to check out DreamWorks’ “Kung Fu Panda.” It is outstanding!
