“We at GolfStyles know that, when healthy, Tiger Woods is the hands-down No. 1 golfer. Apparently, he’s not just the global leader in shot making, but in ab making as well.

“They say Woods has changed the way the professional game of golf is played and approached - especially with his workout routine. Still, John Daly has won majors popping M&Ms; and slugging back beers. Jack Nicklaus won one at the age of 46. How many guys named Hercules do you know ever won a major?

“The world’s pre-eminent golfer was selected for the top spot, according to Men’s Fitness Magazine, “because of his commitment to being the best and setting the bar, not just for other golfers, but for all athletes.” (Note: There was no mention to his legendary ability to hack out of five inches of U.S. Open rough.)

“At best Tiger should be tied with many of the others on the list. They included actors Will Smith, Daniel Craig and Shemar Moore; athletes Brady Quinn, Chase Utley and Dwight Howard; rappers Romeo Miller and Flo Rida; and television host Mark Steines. Not one of them could take down a golfer? C’mon.

Is Tiger “fit” for this new role?
