Frank Diaz (.361) doubled home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning in a road win for the Clippers. Larry Broadway (.247) hit his fourth home run. Levale Speigner (1-0, 0.00) struck out four and allowed one hit in 2 2/3 scoreless innings to win in relief.

Mike Daniel (.314) went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the Senators’ home loss.

Adrian Alaniz (9-0, 2.62) allowed four runs (three earned) in six innings to win for the host Nationals. Michael Martinez (.283) and Edgardo Baez (.280) each went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The second game was suspended with the Blue Rocks leading 2-0 in the third inning.

Daniel Lyons (.296) hit a walkoff homer with one out in the ninth for the Suns.
