In today’s episode of Two Guys in a Newsroom, Ralph Z. Hallow and Donald Lambro get into it over what’s big this election. Lambro says it’s not the war, stupid, but the economy — again. Hallow wonders whose economic promises turn on the most voters — McCain or Obama’s? Lambro says clearly McCain, because he offering permanent tax cuts for every one. Hallow questions whether that quadrennial says that’s worked in past elections, but is it the permanently sure-fire winner for Republicans this time — or do they need something fresh?
