Mills take: $48.6 M

A judge yesterday awarded Heather Mills a total of $48.6 million in the financial settlement of her divorce from former Beatle Paul McCartney, Associated Press reports.

A document released by London’s Family Court said the judge awarded Miss Mills a lump sum of $33 million plus the assets she currently holds worth $15.6 million.

“I’m so, so happy with this,” Miss Mills said after the closed hearing.

The court also ruled that the couple’s 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice, should receive a “periodical payments order” of $70,000 annually. On top of that, Mr. McCartney will pay for the child’s nanny and school fees.

Miss Mills had sought almost $250 million, while Mr. McCartney had said she should receive $31.6 million, including her own assets.

Mr. McCartney left the court without making any statement, AP said.

Halle’s a mom

Oscar winner Halle Berry had a baby girl on Sunday, reports People.com, the Web site of People magazine. It’s her first child.

The father is 32-year-old model Gabriel Aubry. The two met while shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles two years ago. The twice-divorced Miss Berry, 41, has said that she and Mr. Aubry don’t plan to marry but feel fully committed to each other.

Diddy, lackeys miffed

Sean “Diddy” Combs and James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond are furious over a Los Angeles Times article yesterday that implicated them in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur, TMZ.com says.

The shooting — which occurred at Quad Recording Studios in New York two years before the murder of 2Pac (his stage name) — has not been solved, and no charges have ever been filed. However, a report in the paper yesterday claims the FBI has received new information that ties the shooting to two of Diddy’s associates: Mr. Rosemond and promoter James Sabatino. Mr. Shakur had long claimed that Diddy and slain rapper the Notorious B.I.G. were involved in the 1994 shooting.

Mr. Sabatino is in prison for unrelated crimes. Mr. Rosemond told TMZ he has never been questioned by police concerning the shooting.

“This story is beyond ridiculous and completely false,” Diddy told AllHipHop.com.

Elton plays for Hil

Singer Elton John will help Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton raise cash for her presidential bid with a solo concert next month at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

According to AP, tickets for the “Elton and Hillary: One Night Only” April 9 performance will go on sale tomorrow. Prices start at $125 for mezzanine seats.

In October, Mrs. Clinton held a star-studded fundraiser to celebrate her 60th birthday. Comedian Billy Crystal and rockers Elvis Costello and the Wallflowers headlined the event, which raked in more than $1.5 million for her campaign.
