Centex Homes is building 106 town homes and condominiums at Leesborough in Silver Spring, a community within walking distance of a Metro station and with easy access to shopping centers and parks. The development has a play area and a picnic area with grills.

The condominiums are temporarily sold out. Single-family homes will be added later.

Each town home in this Montgomery County community will include a brick and Hardiplank exterior, a sodded lawn, professional landscaping, a deck and a two-car rear-entry garage.

Inside, both models feature three bedrooms; 2½ baths; ceramic tile flooring in the foyer; volume ceilings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch oak flat-panel cabinets and a pantry in the kitchen; a master bath with a shower and double-sink vanity; high-tech wiring; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have approximately 1,925 to 1,980 finished square feet, with base prices from $419,990 to $429,990. Homeowner association fees are $70 per month, and condominium fees are $120 per month.

The Kenwood model, with 1,980 square feet, is priced from $429,990. This home has a recreation room and a walk-in closet on the lower level.

The main level has a front living room, a powder room and a central kitchen with a breakfast bar. The great room has a fireplace and a door to the deck.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet and a private bath with a large shower with a seat.
