SEEN AND HEARD IN VIERA, FLA.

NATIONALS 4, BRAVES 1

John Lannan has done everything he can to earn a spot in Washington’s rotation. But the 23-year-old lefty knows it’s not his decision, so all he can do it wait and wonder.

If Lannan still has a shot, he helped his cause yesterday, allowing one run on three hits in six innings against Atlanta’s regular lineup. He needed only 64 pitches.

Offensively, the Nationals got a well-balanced attack, with five players racking up two hits apiece: Felipe Lopez, Ryan Zimmerman, Nick Johnson, Austin Kearns and Rob Mackowiak.
