Tartans on parade

• National Tartan Day. The annual celebration of Scottish-American heritage commemorates the A.D. 1320 Declaration of Arbroath, which Scots consider their Declaration of Independence. THEARC open house

• Arts Day at THEARC. Community festival features a concert by Levine School of Music’s faculty artist Jeff Chappell, continuous performances by the students of the Washington Ballet, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s ArtReach Program and other student musicians from the Levine School of Music.
