Don Imus will return to the D.C. airwaves tomorrow on WJZW-FM (105.9), the former jazz station that owner Citadel Broadcasting Corp. switched to oldies last week.

Mr. Imus’ show, “Imus in the Morning,” was heard locally on WTNT-AM (570) before being dumped last April by CBS Radio Inc. for making disparaging remarks about the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.

The talk-show host will be heard weekdays during the morning drive slot from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

“We’re thrilled to add Imus to our lineup as we wake up the movers and shakers in Washington,” said Jeff Boden, president and general manager of 105.9.

Mr. Imus, whose show is broadcast from New York, returned to the air in other markets Dec. 3. His new show is syndicated by ABC Radio Networks Inc., which was purchased by Citadel last year.
