NO. 16 VIRGINIA 83, NO. 5 TENNESSEE 82:Monica Wright scored 35 points and Britnee Milner made a free throw with 6.4 seconds left to help the Cavaliers upset the Lady Vols on Monday night in Knoxville, Tenn.

Trailing 80-75 with 1:44 left, Virginia (2-0) rallied. Wright made a 3-pointer and Whitny Edwards converted a steal to tie the score at 80.

Alex Fuller gave Tennessee an 82-80 lead with a pair of free throws with 49 seconds left before Wright tied it with a jumper. Shekinna Stricklen had a chance to give the Lady Vols the lead, but she missed a jumper with nine seconds left and then fouled Miller, who made one of two free throws for the win.

Briana Bass and Glory Johnson each scored 13 points to lead Tennessee (1-1), which had a 43-35 halftime lead.

GEORGE WASHINGTON 77, COPPIN STATE 36: Kay-Kay Allums scored 12 points in the Colonials’ rout of the Eagles at Smith Center.

NO. 4 UNC 102, KENNESAW ST. 68: Jessica Breland scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Tar Heels past the Owls in Chapel Hill, N.C.

NO. 9 LOUISVILLE 72, AUSTIN PEAY 42: Angel McCoughtry scored 15 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Cardinals to a sloppy home win against the Lady Govs. Freshman Monique Reid added 17 points and nine rebounds for Louisville (2-0).

NO. 14 TEXAS 78, OLD DOMINION 44: Brittainey Raven scored the Longhorns’ first 12 points and finished with 20 and Texas routed the Monarchs to win the World Vision Classic in Austin, Texas. Kathleen Nash finished with 15 points and had eight rebounds for Texas (3-0).

NO. 20 AUBURN 95, TEMPLE 76: DeWanna Bonner scored a game-high 29 points and Sherell Hobbs added 20 to lead the host Tigers past the Owls.
