TERPS REPORT

BY THE NUMBERS

49-0 Record for Maryland in November nonconference home games under Gary Williams. Maryland’s last such loss came Nov. 27, 1976, when Notre Dame escaped Cole Field House with an 80-79 overtime victory.

PLAY OF THE GAME

Moments removed from a potentially crushing offensive foul, Greivis Vasquez made a 3-pointer as he fell to the ground with 6.4 seconds remaining to tie the score 72-72. Vasquez, who finished with 26 points, made a 3-pointer to help put Vermont away in overtime.

A TIGHTER ROTATION?

Maryland’s 11-man rotation doesn’t appear to be shrinking just yet. The Terps used only 10 players before halftime; forward Jerome Burney was not among them. The sophomore, who played a total of 15 minutes in Maryland’s first two games, checked in with 12:31 left in the second half.
