Recent articles in The Washington Times by Republican talking heads express the opinion that Republican candidates who lost are persona non grata. In essence, the losing candidates should be treated as wounded soldiers no longer fit for combat. If these talking heads are really Republicans, the Republicans have no need for enemies. Wouldn’t it be more practical and humane to bind up the wounded, thank them for their service, and restore them to active duty?

It is my opinion that there was enough nearsighted thinking leading up to and during the election to share blame among all associated with it. In my opinion, the Republican talking heads need to cease their open-mouth policy denigrating those who worked so hard and start working to restore unity in the party. Wouldn’t that be more helpful?
